It has been announced that the upcoming reopening date for Tina - The Tina Turner Musical has now been pushed back by a month and performances of the hit show will now resume at the Aldwych Theatre from 28th July 2021. Tickets for Tina - The Tina the Musical tickets are on now sale.
The musical first opened at the Aldwych Theatre in 2018 and chronicles the life of singing legend Tina Turner and features a catalogue of her greatest hits including “River Deep Mountain High”, “Proud Mary”, and “(Simply) The Best”. The smash-hit show has been nominated for three Olivier Awards including 'Best New Musical' and will see Aisha Jawando return to the production to star as 'Tina' with Jammy Kasongo taking the role of 'Ike Turner', and Chanel Jaynes making her West End stage debut taking on the role of the alternate 'Tina'.
The cast prior to the first shutdown in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic also included Irene Myrtle Forrester as Gran Georgeanna, Francesca Jackson as Rhonda Graam, Matt Mills as Richard Bullock Joe Evans as Phil Spector / Terry Britten, Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky as Alline Bullock, Garmon Rhys Roger Davies, Posi Morakinyo as Raymond Hill, Lucy Vardi as Zelma, and Joseph Richardson as Erwin Bach.

Performances of Tina the Musical will resume at the Aldwych Theatre from 28th July.
