This autumn's hit comedy, The Shark is Broken is to continue performances at the Ambassadors Theatre for a little bit longer as an extended booking period has now been announced until February 13th. Tickets to The Shark is Broken tickets are now on sale.
The show's producer, Sonia Friedman commented on the new booking period: “It’s with immense pride and joy that we’re announcing this extension of ‘The Shark is Broken’ at the Ambassadors Theatre - put simply, we’re gonna need a bigger run!... it’s fantastic that this new play has finally opened in the West End to such a rapturous response, with our dedicated audiences travelling from all over the UK to see this entertaining yet profound look behind the scenes of one of the most famous films ever made.”
The plot of The Shark Is Broken is set during the filming of of the 1970's movie Jaws, and follows the lead actors who are stuck on the Orca boat, waiting patiently for the cameras to roll again. Ian Shaw takes on the role played by his father Robert in the movie, with Liam Murray Scott starring as Richard Dreyfuss and Demetri Goritsas plays the role of Roy Schneider.
The Shark is Broken is co-written by Joseph Nixon and Ian Shaw, and is directed by Guy Masterson. Costume and scenic design for the show are by Duncan Henderson, with lighting design by Jon Clark and both music and sound design is by Adam Cork.
Performances of The Shark is Broken continue at the Ambassadors Theatre until February 13th.
