Following the news last week that Bill Kenwright has acquired The Other Palace which is due to reopen later this month, it has been announced that Paul Taylor-Mills is to return to the theatre in a brand new role. Taylor-Mills will take on the role of artistic director at The Other Palace after previously serving as an advisory producer at the venue from 2016 to 2018 under the previous owner, Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The new position means that Taylor-Mills is now the artistic director of both the Turbine Theatre and The Other Palace. His most recent stage credits include 'Torch Song', 'My Night with Reg', 'Heathers', and 'High Fidelity'.
Commenting about the scope of his new position, Taylor-Mills said: “I am absolutely delighted to be returning to The Other Palace as its new Artistic Director and launching my tenure with Heathers the Musical, all under the helm of Bill Kenwright. I have had the pleasure of working with Bill and his incredible team for many years and the opportunity for us to have a London home for our projects is a dream come true.”
A revival of Heathers the Musical is to open the new season at The Other Palace, playing from November 25th to February 20th, 2022. Heathers received its premiere in London at The Other Palace back in 2018, before transferring to the Theatre Royal Haymarket, and then returning to the West End again earlier this summer.
More productions at The Other Palace will be announced in due course.
