Following a sold-out season at the National Theatre, the brilliant stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s book The Ocean at the End of the Lane is finally set for a west-end debut following phenomenal demand. The play received rave reviews from critics when it premiered at the Dorfman Theatre, and audiences will no doubt be eager now to get another chance to see this spine tingly spooky production at the Duke of York’s Theatre from October 2021.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane was nominated for three Olivier Awards following its National Theatre debut and was described as ‘spellbinding’ by critics.
When 'The Ocean at the End of the Lane' was published, it was voted 'Book of the Year' at the British National Book Awards.
The adapter of the play, Joel Horwood’s previous work stage includes 'All The Little Things We Crushed' and 'Berberian Sound Studio' as well as screenwriting credits for Channel 4’s cult TV series Skins.
