Come and step into a whole new world at the Gillian Lynne Theatre this summer as the Kingdom of Narnia arrives in the West End with a new stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis' classic fantasy, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
The play follows the adventures of the Pevensie children — Peter, Lucy, Edmund, and Susan — after they are all evacuated to a safe place during World War II. After arriving in their new home, they discover a strange wardrobe which seems to act as a portal into to a brand new world — the world of Narnia! After entering Narnia, they discover that this is a place unlike anything they have ever experienced before. There are mythical creatures, talking animals, and an all powerful White Witch who seems to control everything in the land. Will the children be able to find the strength to save Narnia?
This latest adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe from Sally Cookson first premiered at the Leeds Playhouse before transferring to the Bridge Theatre. Now, the production will move into the West End at Gillian Lynne Theatre for a limited season this summer starring 'Eastenders' favourite Samantha Womack in the role of the White Witch.
