Further information has finally been revealed following the exciting news that The Lehman Trilogy is to make a return to the West End in 2023. The production will run at the Gillian Lynne Theatre for a 17-week season, with previews beginning on January 24th, 2023, and an official opening night scheduled for February 8th. Performances will run until May 20th, 2023.
The powerful and poignant play from Stefano Massini charts the formation of the now failed Lehman Brothers bank with three actors recounting the 163 years of its history before its eventual collapse during the 2008 financial crisis.
Following its premiere at the National Theatre in 2018, The Lehman Trilogy transferred to the West End at Piccadilly Theatre the following year. The production recently played a limited season on Broadway, where it won five Tony Awards including 'Best Play', 'Best Director', 'Best Actor', 'Best Scenic Design', and 'Best Lighting Design'.
Casting for the new booking period for The Lehman Trilogy are set to be announced at a later date. The creative team involved in the production will feature costume design from Katrina Lindsay, lighting design by Jon Clark, and sound design by both Dominic Bilkey and Nick Powell.
Performances of The Lehman Trilogy will be at the Gillian Lynne Theatre from January 24th, 2023.
