The Comedy Of Errors, William Shakespeare’s joyous and much-loved fairy-tale farce of mistaken identity, everyday miracles, and double vision returns to the London stage from November 16th for a limited season at the Barbican Theatre, directed by Phillip Breen.
The scene is set as a father finds himself in the wrong country on the wrong day as its government makes rash and hasty proclamations about travel. A lonely son is out searching for his brother but loses himself. On the other side of town, a wife begins to realise that her husband may not be the man she thought he was (but actually rather likes it). Can anything be the same ever again?
Phillip Breen directs the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of The Comedy of Errors which transfers into the Barbican for 6 weeks this autumn following its successful summer season in Stratford-upon-Avon.
