The Arts Theatre is to welcome the all-singing, all-dancing pub concert The Choir of Man which will begin previews at the venue from October 29th, with its opening night scheduled for November 9th. Performances of The Choir of Man will run at the Arts Theatre until February 13th. 2022.
The compact 80-minute production has been billed as a “riotously feel-good homage to that gathering place we’ve all missed so much”, and features an actual working bar on stage, along with a nine-strong cast who will sing chart-topping hits from artists including Paul Simon, Sia, Adele, and Guns ‘N’Roses. Details on the full casting for The Choir of Man will be announced in due course.
The Choir of Man is the brainchild of Andrew Kay and Nic Doodson and has just completed a London run at the Underbelly and features the same team behind the 'Soweto Gospel Choir' and 'The Magnets' .
The creative team for the show will include Ben Norris, Nic Doodson, Jack Blume, Freddie Huddleston, Richard Dinnen, and Verity Sadler.
The Choir of Man will continue what has become a tradition of Underbelly shows that make the transfer to the West End at the Arts Theatre and follows the hit show Six The Musical, which was at both the Underbelly at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe back in 2018.
Performances of The Choir of Man will begin at the Arts Theatre from 29 October.
