Taron Egerton And Jonathan Bailey To Star In Cock At Ambassadors Theatre

Taron Egerton and Jonathan Bailey are set to star in a West End revival of the Mike Bartlett play, Cock at the Ambassadors Theatre from March 5th - June 4th 2022.  Tickets to the production are on sale now.

Cock centres on a gay couple whose relationship seems to be heading for the rocks when John takes a break from his boyfriend. During his 'break', John meets the girl of his dreams and must now make a decision as to what path to take sexually. 

The Olivier Award winning actor Jonathan Bailey is currently appearing as Anthony Bridgerton in the popular Netflix series Bridgerton, and also stars in 'Crashing' and 'W1A' and has previously starred in the West End at the Gielgud Theatre as Jamie in 'Company', and in the role as Tim Price in 'American Psycho' at the Almeida Theatre. 

Golden-Globe winnerTaron Egerton also joins the cast of Cock, and makes a much-anticipated return to the West End stage after an eight-year hiatus. Egerton portrayed Elton John in the hit biopic 'The Rocketman', and has also starred in 'No Quarter' at the Royal Court, and 'The Last of the Haussmans' at the National Theatre.

Also joining the cast of Cock is Jade Anouka who will play the role of W. Anouka has previously starred in both 'Doctor Faustus', and 'The Phlebotomist'. Completing the company is Phil Daniels, who was last seen on stage in 'This House' at the Garrick Theatre.

Directing the production will be Marianne Elliott who will be joined by a creative team consisting of set designer Merle Hansel, sound designer, Ian Dickson, composer Femi Temowo, lighting designer Paule Constable, movement director Annie-Lunette Deakin-Foster, voice work by Hazel Holder, and associate director Chloe Christian.

A truly theatrical piece in that it asks the audience to enter the imagination of the storytelling - as only live theatre can do. Performances of Cock will take place at the Ambassadors Theatre from March 5th - June 4th 2022.
