David Hare's new play, Straight Line Crazy receives its world premiere at the Bridge Theatre in Spring 2022 starring Ralph Feinnes.
Robert Moses was possibly the most powerful man in New York for 40 gloriously uninterrupted years. Although he was never elected into office, Moses managed to manipulate those who were through a mix of charm, guile, and intimidation. His motivation came at first by a dogged determination to improve the lives of workers living in New York City’s, as he created new parks, bridges and a total of 627 miles of expressway connecting the people with the great outdoors. But eventually, groups of citizens at grass roots in the 1950s began to organize themselves against his schemes and against the motor car and began campaigning for a very different idea of what their city should be.
Tickets to Straight Line Crazy at the Bridge Theatre will be available to purchase soon.
