The entertainment correspondent of the Daily Mail, Baz Bamigboye has tweeted that Rachel York is to replace Sutton Foster in the role of Reno Sweeney in the musical Anything Goes from October 12th at the Barbican.

York has played the role of Reno Sweeney previously in the UK tour of the show back in 2012 following its revival on Broadway in 2011, which also starred Foster. Her other credits on Broadway include roles in The Scarlet Pimpernel, City of Angels, Les Misérables, Victor/Victoria, Kiss Me, Kate, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Sly Fox. York last performed in the West End back in 2002, when she starred as Lilli Vanessi/Kate in the musical Kiss Me, Kate.

Bamigboye's tweet also stated that Haydn Gwynne is to replace Felicity Kendal in the role of Evangeline Harcourt from October 19th. Gwynne was the winner of the 2009 Drama Desk Award for 'Outstanding Featured Actress' for her role in the musical Billy Elliot on Broadway. She has also received nominations for Olivier Awards for her West End roles in 'The Threepenny Opera', 'City of Angels', 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown', and 'Billy Elliot'.

Anything Goes is Cole Porter's classic musical, and follows the exploits of passengers aboard a cruise ship bound for London. The show will run at the Barbican until November 6th, and according to Bamigboye's tweet, will now feature two extra matinee performances on October 27th and November 3rd.
