Following the official opening of Pride & Prejudice* (sort of) at the Criterion Theatre earlier this week, it has been announced that the new Jane Austen-inspired production will be extending its residency at the venue for an extended booking period until April 17th 2022.
The contemporary retelling of Jane Austen's celebrated novel 'Pride and Prejudice' and features a cast of five characters who take on multiple roles to play all the characters, dictating the story with a little the help of a musical score that includes songs such as “You’re So Vain” and “I Got You Babe”.
The cast of Pride & Prejudice* (sort of) features the playwright Isobel McArthur who stars in the roles of both 'Darcy' and 'Mrs. Bennet'. The other cast members in the production are Tori Burgess as Mr. Collins, Christina Gordon who plays both Jane and Lady Catherine de Bourgh, Hannah Jarrett-Scott as Charles Bingley, and Charlotte and Meghan Tyler who plays Lizzie Bennet.
McArthur direct Pride & Prejudice* (sort of), along with Simon Harvey with scenic design by Ana Inés Jabares-Pita, comedy staging by Jos Houben, sound design by Michael John McCarthy, choreography by Emily-Jane Boyle, lighting design by Colin Grenfell, and Luke Swaffield for Autograph.
