Following its successful run in the West End earlier this year at Easter, Potted Panto is to once again return to the Garrick Theatre for some more festive fun with performances being played out at the venue on selected dates between December 11th - January 9th.
In a 70 minute performance, Potted Panto puts together stories from a collection of beloved, traditional pantomimes including Cinderella, Aladdin, and Dick Whittington which sees characters from each pantomime meeting each other for the very first time in a fun-packed show packed full of pantomime tropes.
Daniel Clarkson, the star and writer of Potted Panto said of the return of the production: “We are so excited to be coming back to the Garrick with ‘Potted Panto’ this Christmas. After our 10th anniversary season was cut short last year, this years ‘10th plus one’ promises to be the biggest and best yet! With seven different pantomimes in just one sitting, it’s going to be bigger laughs, bigger doses of Christmas magic and bigger servings of custard pies than ever before!"
The seasonal show will play at the Garrick Theatre on selected dates from December 11th - January 9th, with performances at 11:00am, 1:00pm or 4:00pm and will share the venue with the musical The Drifters Girl starring Beverley Knight.
Written by Clarkson, Richard Hurst, and Jefferson Turner, Potted Panto was first staged 11 years ago at the Vaudeville Theatre, with the production earning an Olivier Award nomination. Potted Panto will be directed by Hurst, with scenic and costume design by Nicky Bunch and Simon Scullion, sound design by Tom Lishman and lighting design by Tim Mascall.
Performances of Potted Panto will be at the Garrick Theatre from December 11th - January 9th, 2022.
