A brand new dance show based on the characters in the popular TV series Peaky Blinders is set to open in London at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre. Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will have a limited season at the venue from October 12th to November 6th.
The themed show, Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will explore the colourful lives of the main characters in Peaky Blinders, and in particular, the Peaky Blinders leader Thomas Shelby. Through the medium of dance, the audience will travel from the war time trenches of Flanders, through to the murky criminal underworld of post-WW1 Birmingham, and the love affair that blossoms between Thomas and the undercover agent, Grace.
The production is the result of a collaboration between the producers of Peaky Blinders and the dance company Rambert. Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will feature a story from the creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight, and have both direction and choreography from Rambert's artistic director Benoit Swan Pouffer. The show is to feature a 20 strong cast and will also have a live band playing specially commissioned music for the show.
Peaky Blinders is a popular British TV series set in post World War One Birmingham. The cast on the show includes Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory., Tom Hardy, and Sophie Rundle. TV audiences have been waiting patiently in anticipation for the sixth and final season of the show which will premiere on February 27th.
Performances of Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will be at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from October 12th until November 6th 2022.
