Come From Away is a truly uplifting show that is based on the true stories of 7,000 air passengers who were diverted to the small Canadian town of Gander in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 and tells of a new resilient community that formed between complete strangers who went on to become friends. Performances of Come From Away began in London back in 2019, with the show winning 'Best New Musical' at the Olivier Awards.
The smash-hit musical was written by David Hein and Irene Sankoff, who based the show on the true stories they discovered in 2011 while in Newfoundland. The West End production of Come From Away is directed by Christopher Ashley with scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, lighting design by Howell Binkley, costume design by Toni-Leslie James and sound design by Gareth Owen.
