The popular West End comedy The Play That Goes Wrong is to welcome a new cast this spring. The company will begin performances from April 5th at the Duchess Theatre. Tickets to The Play That Goes Wrong are currently available to book securely online.
The new cast of The Play That Goes Wrong will feature Mikhali Sen as Chris, Ajani as Trevor, Ash Blackwood as Annie Scott Hunter as Max, Jo Ben Ayed as Dennis, Anya de Villiers as Sandra, Tendai Humphrey Sitima as Robert, and Oliver Mott as Jonathan. Completing the new company for The Play That Goes Wrong are understudies Jack Whittle, Charlie Richards, Roisin Fahey, Stuart Vincent, and Emily Waters.
The Olivier-Award winning slapstick comedy follows the fortunes of a hapless amateur dramatics society as they attempt to stage their annual play — a murder mystery set in the 1920's called 'The Murder at Haversham Manor'. problems for the company begin while preparing for curtain up, as the cast struggle to get things ready, and set pieces and props go missing. And things get steadily worse from there!
The Play That Goes Wrong first opened in the West End at the Duchess Theatre in 2014, and is now in its eighth year with a booking period currently playing until April 2nd. 2023.
The production is co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Shields, Henry Lewis, and Jonathan Sayer and features a creative team including direction by Mark Bell, sound design by Andy Johnson, scenic design by Nigel Hook, costume design by Roberto Surace, lighting design by Ric Mountjoy, and original music by Rob Falconer.
