Agatha Christie's tense thriller Witness For The Prosecution is to continue to enthrall audiences and keep them on the edge of their seats in court at London County Hall as an extended booking period until September 25th 2022 has now been announced. The plot of Witness For The Prosecution focuses on Leonard Vole, who is called to stand trial after he’s accused of murder. During the trial, his wife Romaine is called to the stand to give evidence, but shockingly, she testifies in favour of the prosecution and speaks out against her husband. During the nailbiting play, members of the audience who sit in the jury are able to determine the result of the case.
The cast of Witness For The Prosecution currently includes Joe McNamara in the role of the accused, Leonard Vole, Emer McDaid as his wife Romaine, Martin Turner as Mr. Justice Wainwright, Miles Richardson as Mr. Myers, Jonathan Firth as Sir Wilfrid Robarts, and Teddy Kempner as Mr. Mayhew. The cast for Witness For The Prosecution is completed by Nicholas Fretwell, Simon Murray, Yvonne Gidden, Elana Martin, Eliot Giuralarocca, Stewart Lockwood, Lorna Lowe, Ellie-Rose Mackinlay, Sam Graham, Robert Rickman, Andrew Senesie, and Christopher Dickins. Lucy Bailey directs Witness For The Prosecution. Her recent West End credits include Oleanna which has just finished a successful run at the Arts Theatre. The scenic design for the play is by William Dudley, with sound design by Mic Pool and lighting design by Chris Davey.
