Life Of Pi Announces Extended West End Booking Period

The popular West End production of Life of Pi is to play an extended booking period at the Wyndham’s Theatre with performances now scheduled to continue until September 4th. Tickets to Life of Pi are currently on sale and can be booked online.

Life of Pi received and incredible nine Olivier Award nominations earlier this month, including 'Best New Play', 'Best Director', and 'Best Actor'. 

Based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Yann Martel, Life of Pi follows the fortunes of a 16 year-old boy who is the only human survivor after a tragedy takes place on the ocean. While painstakingly attempting to make his way back to shore, he is accompanied by an orangutan, a zebra a hyena, and a Royal Bengal tiger.

The cast of Life of Pi includes Hiran Abeysekera as Pi,  Habib Nasib Nader as Cook and Voice of Tiger, Mina Anwar as Ma, Nicholas Khan as Father, Payal Mistry as Rani, Syreeta Kumar as Mrs Biology Kumar and Zaida Khan, Raj Ghatak as Mamaji and Pandit-Ji, David K.S. Tse as Mr Okamoto, Tom Espiner as Father Martin and Commander Grant-Jones, and Kirsten Foster as Lulu Chen.

All seven puppeteers who operate the tiger  in the show— have received a collective nomination for the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor — they are Romina Hytten, Fred Davis, Daisy Franks, Scarlet Wilderink and Tom Larkin.

Max Webster directs Lolita Chakrabarti’s stage adaptation with set and costume design by Tim Hatley. The other creative roles include sound design by Carolyn Downing, puppet movement and design by Finn Caldwell and Nick Barnes, and lighting design by Tim Lutkin.
