Nelson Mandela House will be getting a new resident in the West End as Les Dennis is set to join the cast of Only Fools and Horses: The Musical cast this autumn, taking over the role of Grandad. Tickets to Only Fools and Horses: The Musical are now available to book at Theatre Royal Haymarket until January 7th, 2023.
Dennis will star as Grandad in Only Fools and Horses: The Musical from October 3rd. His previous West End credits include 'Hairspray' and 'HMS Pinafore'.
Speaking of the new appointment, Dennis commented: “I am so excited to be playing Grandad… Like everyone else, I would tune in weekly to watch the hilarious exploits of the Trotters and would laugh and cry in equal measure. It was both funny and touching. Jim Sullivan and Paul Whitehouse have written a wonderful show that beautifully recreates that feel-good era of British comedy,”.
Only Fools and Horses: The Musical is based on the hilarious BBC comedy of the same name and follows the fortunes of market traders Del Boy and Rodney Trotter, and the rest of the Peckham gang as they duck and dive their way through life. Tom Bennett takes on the iconic role of Del Boy and is joined by Ryan Hutton as Rodney.
The rest of the cast features Ashleigh Gray as Raquel, Lee VG as Trigger, Nicola Munns as Cassandra and Marlene, Craig Berry plays Boycie, Adrian Irvine as Denzil, Andrew Bryant as Tony Driscoll and Mike The Barman, Danny Bayne as Mickey Pearce and Danny Driscoll, Mark Pearce, Leanne Garretty, Christopher Arkeston, Melanie Marshall, Marion Campbell, Wesley Charles, Chris Kiely, Ian Gareth Jones, Danny Lane, Andy Mace, Gemma McLean, and Darry Paul.
