The multi-award-winning actress and all round national treasure Judi Dench is set to return to the West End this summer for a series of conversations at the Gielgud Theatre, where she will speak frankly about her long and illustrious career on three consecutive Sundays: June 19th, June 26th and July 3rd.
The Daily Mail entertainment reporter Baz Bamigboye tweeted about the appointment and stated that Dench will be in conversation with Gyles Brandreth for the events which will mark Dench's first appearance in the West End since 2015, when she starred at the Garrick Theatre in a production of 'The Winter's Tale'.
Dame Judi made her professional debut in theatre as part of the Old Vic Company all the way back in 1957 and has won seven Olivier Award for productions including 'Absolute Hell' and 'A Little Night Music' meaning that Dench currently holds the record for the most Olivier Award wins by an actress. her most recent theatre credits include 'The Vote' which showcased at the Donmar Warehouse and also 'Peter and Alice' at the Noel Coward Theatre.
Dame Judi also has a vast back catalogue of notable movie credits including her role as 'M' in several James Bond films, as well as appearing in other more recent films including 'Blithe Spirit' and 'Cats' and 'Belfast'.
The Gielgud Theatre is set to be the home to the West End premiere of To Kill a Mockingbird, which will To begin performances in March 2022. Tickets to o Kill a Mockingbird are on sale now.
