Ahead of its world premiere at the National Theatre this Christmas, the full cast of Hex has now been announced. Hex will run at the Olivier Theatre for a limited season from December 4th - January 12th.
Hex is a new and fresh retelling of the classic story of Sleeping Beauty, by Tanya Rodder, which explores the fairy placing a jinx on the newborn baby and features music by Jim Fortune with lyrics and direction from Rufus Norris.
Rosalie Craig will star in the production as the Fairy and is joined by Tamsin Carroll who takes the role of Queenie, Kat Ronney as Rose, and Michael Elcock as Bert. The cast of Hex is completed by Joseph Prouse, Joe Foster, Delroy Atkinson, Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Ebony Clarke, Sargon Yelda, Sonya Cullingford, Hanna Dimtsu, Madeline Charlemagne, Tamsin Dowsett, Ben Goffe, Eleanor Kane, Daisy Maywood, Kody Mortimer, Shaq Taylor, and Christopher Akrill.
The creative team for the production features, choreography by Jade Hackett, orchestrations by Simon Hale, music supervision by Marc Tritschler, lighting design by Paul Anderson, sound design by Simon Baker, music direction by Tarek Merchant, consultant choreography by Bill Deamer, video design by Ash Woodward, and designs by Katrina Lindsay.
