Reopening Cast Announced For Harry Potter And the Cursed Child

Ahead of the much anticipated and upcoming return of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the full cast has now been named who will take to the stage at the Palace Theatre for the show’s reopening on October 14th. Tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are on sale now.

It is no coincidence that the casting announcement has been confirmed on September 1st, as it is considered to be 'Back to Hogwarts Day' - the day when Harry Potter and the rest of his classmates usually jump board the Hogwarts Express at Kings Cross in the popular Harry Potter books.

The lead members of the cast for the return of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are Jamie Ballard in the role of Harry Potter, Dominic Short as Albus Potter, Susie Trayling as Ginny Potter, Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley, Phoenix Edwards as Rose Granger-Weasley, Luke Sumner as Scorpius Malfoy. Michelle Gayle as Hermione Granger, and James Howard as Draco Malfoy,  

The full adult cast is completed by Samson Ajewole, Tim Dewberry, Sue Appleby, Valerie Antwi, Thomas Gilbey, Lola Adaja, David Annen, Sue Appleby, Phil Cheadle, Jemma Gould, Robert Curtis, Wreh-asha Walton, Craig Connolly, Rachel Hinds, Thomas Royal, Jordan Lang, Jim Fish, Ronnie Lee, Katrina Lopes, Lucy Mangan, David Mara,  Gordon Millar, Lucia McAnespie, Jayne McKenna, Kathryn Meisle, Ian Redford, Tom Sturgess, Joshua Talbot, Mark Theodore, Emma-May Uden, and Madeleine Walker. 

The childrens cast for the play will feature Noah Alexander, Abby Barnes, Samuel Newby, Tom Quinn Alexander, Harley Barton, Chase Collard, and Cici Smith.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the series and is set 19 years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione left Hogwarts and presented in two parts and has become the most awarded new play in theatre history since its world premiere at the Palace Theatre in 2016, 

The play has an original book by Jack Thorne which is based on ideas by Thorne, John Tiffany and J. K. Rowling. Tiffany also directs the play, with scenic design by Christine Jones, lighting design by Neil Austin, movement by Steven Hoggett,  magic and illusions by Jamie Harrison, costume design by Katrina Lindsay, and sound design by Gareth Fry

Performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are set to resume in London at the Palace Theatre from October 14th.
