The classic musical, Guys & Dolls is to return to the London stage in 2023 in a brand new production at the Bridge Theatre with previews beginning on February 27th, 2023, ahead of an official opening night on March 9th and performances set to run until at least September 2nd.
The upcoming production of Guys & Dolls musical will be performed in an immersive setting, allowing audiences at the Bridge Theatre to experience the streets of Manhattan and Havana bars right in the heart of London.
Nicholas Hytner is set to direct Guys & Dolls which will be the first musical production ever to be staged at the Bridge Theatre and is based on a 1931 novel by Damon Runyon of the same name. The musical features a book by Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling, and music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. Well known songs featured in Guys and Dolls include “A Bushel and a Peck," and “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat."
Guys and Dolls will feature sound design by Paul Arditti, designs by Bunny Christie, choreography by Arlene Phillips, and lighting design by Paule Constable. Casting for Guys & Dolls is set to be announced in due course at a later date.
Upcoming productions scheduled for the Bridge Theatre include 'John Gabriel Borkman' and 'The Southbury Child'.
Performances of Guys & Dolls will be at the Bridge Theatre from February 27th, 2023.
