Following the successful summer season at the Garrick Theatre of David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy, London audiences can now enjoy another adaptation of a David Walliams story live on stage, as Gangsta Granny makes a return to the capital this Christmas at the Bloomsbury Theatre for a limited season from December 9th - January 9th 2022.
Gangsta Granny follows the story of a young boy called Ben, who is staying overnight in what seems to be a normal evening with his cabbage-loving Granny. However, after Granny shares a secret with Ben, their Friday night suddenly turns into the adventure of a lifetime. Gangsta Granny was first published in 2011, and was first adapted for the stage in 2015, and enjoyed a successful season in 2018 at the Harold Pinter Theatre, receiving a nomination for a Olivier Award.
Gangsta Granny is suitable for children aged five years and over. Casting for the show will be announced in due course.
Performances of Gangsta Granny will play at the Bloomsbury Theatre from December 9th- January 9th. 2022.
