An all-new cast for the West End revival of 2:22 - A Ghost Story has now been announced prior to its much-anticipated opening at the Gielgud Theatre on December 4th where it will play a limited season until February 12th, 2022.
Making her West End debut in the role of Lauren is Stephanie Beatriz who previously appeared as 'Carla' in the movie version of 'In The Heights', which was released earlier this year. Beatriz has also appeared in the TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Commenting on joining the cast of 2.22 - A Ghost Story, Beatriz said: “I was on the edge of my seat reading it, and I hope you will be too when you watch it! I am excited to be playing a Latin American trying to make sense of this very unusual and intense London setting.”
The rest of the cast is made up of Giovanna Fletcher, who will play 'Jenny', the role played previously by Lily Allen during its short run in the West End earlier this year. Fletcher is best known for winning the popular TV game show 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!' last year, and has also appeared in 'The Christmasaurus', alongside her husband Tom Fletcher. James Buckley is to take on the role of 'Ben', and Elliot Cowan now also joins the cast as 'Sam'.
The plot of 2:22 - A Ghost Story follows 'Jenny', who believes her new house to be haunted. After inviting some friends over for dinner, the guests attempt to contact the dead by staying up until 2:22 am to explore what lies inside the spiritual world.
2:22 - A Ghost Story is directed by Matthew Dunster and features set design by Anna Fleischle, costume design by Cindy Lin, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph Sound, and lighting design by Lucy Carter.
Performances of 2:22 - A Ghost Story will be at the Gielgud Theatre from December 4th - February 12th.
