Ahead of its forthcoming opening at the Gielgud Theatre and with previews due to begin on March 10th, the full cast of the much anticipated new adaption of Harper Lee's classic novel To Kill A Mockingbird has now been announced. Tickets are available to book now securely online.
Rafe Spall will lead the company in the role of lawyer Atticus Finch. The Olivier Award-nominated actor has recently starred at the National Theatre, including 'Hedda Gabler' and 'Death of England'. Other notable roles in the cast of To Kill a Mockingbird include Jude Owusu as Tom Robinson, Gwyneth Keyworth as Scout Finch, David Moorst as Dill Harris, Pamela Nomvete as Calpurnia, Harry Redding as Jem Finch, Harry Attwell as Mr. Cunningham/Boo Radley, and Jim Norton as Judge Taylor.
The rest of the cast for the production will be made up of Poppy Lee Friar in the role of Mayella Ewell, Natasha Williams as Mrs. Dubose’s Maid, Amanda Boxer as Mrs. Henry Dubose, Simon Hepworth as Mr. Roscoe/Dr. Reynolds, Laura Howard as Miss Stephanie/Dill’s Mother, Lloyd Hutchinson as Link Deas, John Hastings as Bailiff, Tom Mannion as Sheriff Heck Tate, and David Sturzaker as Horace Gilmer. The rest of the ensemble is completed by Itoya Osagiede, Rebecca Hayes, Paul Birchard, Helen Belbin, Laurence Belcher, Ryan Ellsworth, Danny Hetherington, Matthew Jure, and Anna Munden.
To Kill a Mockingbird is based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning novel by Harper Lee, which follows a tense court case in 1930s Alabama all told through the eyes of a child. This latest adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird is by Aaron Sorkin, with direction by Bartlett Sher and first premiered back in 2018 on Broadway and was nominated for 9 Tony Awards including 'Best Direction'.
