The full cast has finally been announced ahead of the eagerly awaited first London revival of the play Habeas Corpus in 25 years which will showcase at the Menier Chocolate Factory from December 3rd - February 26th.
The Daily Mail entertainment reporter Baz Bamigboye has tweeted that the Habeas Corpus cast is to feature Ria Jones, Catherine Russell, Kirsty Besterman, Thomas Josling, Caroline Langrishe, Matthew Cottle, Abdul Salis, and Jasper Britton.
Habeas Corpus follows the fortunes of general practitioner Dr. Arthur Wicksteed, in 1960's Brighton, who treats his patient Felicity Rumpers. At the same time, friends, family, and even sexual pleasures seem to rule over decision-making. The Habeas Corpus play is named after the legal term of the same name, which directly translates as “you shall have the body," and is directed by Patrick Marber, who's recent productions include Tom Stoppard's Leopoldstadt at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
Following its forced closure due to the pandemic, the Menier Chocolate Factory finally reopened its doors last week to stage Paula Vogel’s Indecent. Forthcoming productions at the venue include Brian & Roger - A Highly Offensive Play.
Performances of Habeas Corpus will take place at the Menier Chocolate Factory from December 3rd - February 26th.
