'Elf The Musical' To Make West End Return This Christmas

Elf the Musical is to make a much welcome return to the West End stage later this year. The much loved family favourite will begins previews at the Dominion Theatre from November 14th, with an opening night scheduled for November 24th and will run for a limited season until January 7th. 2023.

Elf The Musical is based on the popular 2003 Christmas movie of the same name, and follows the fortunes of Buddy, a young boy who is raised by Santa and the elves in the North Pole but one day decides to go to New York to find his real father. During his quest, Buddy learns what it’s like to live in the real world and yet manages to bring his unique outlook on life to his new friends and family.

In 2015, Elf the Musical made its West End premiere and ran for a limited season at the Dominion Theatre, however, the upcoming production will have a new creative team including a book by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan, and songs by  Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar.  The new production of Elf The Musical will be directed by Phillip Wm. McKinley.

The remainder of the creative team will also feature  sound design by Gareth Owen, choreography by Liam Steel, set and costume design by Tim Goodchild, and lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe.

Casting for the new production of Elf the Musical is to be revealed at a later date. 

Performances of Elf the Musical will be at the Dominion Theatre from November 14th.
