Donny Osmond is set to make his debut in the West End as the Wizard of Pantomime in Pantoland at the Palladium this Christmas (Ohhh yes he is!), as the popular celebratory panto returns to London for a second year. Pantoland at the Palladium will showcase at the London Palladium from December 4th - January 9th. 2022.
Osmond has sold over 100 million albums throughout his career thanks to both numerous solo projects as well as performing alongside his brothers, the Osmonds. A brand new musical about the Osmonds, called The Osmonds: A New Musical, is also to go ahead with a nationwide tour in 2022.
Donny Osmond will perform along with veteran stars of the London Palladium, Nigel Havers, Julian Clary, and Paul Zerdin, who have all appeared in every pantomime at the London Palladium since 2016. Other notable cast members will include Gary Wilmot who will star, alongside Sophie Isaacs and Jac Yarrow with specialty act Flame Oz also taking part, with spectacular special effects from Twins FX.
Pantoland at the Palladium looks back at the London Palladium’s pantomime history. Speaking about the production, director and producer Michael Harrison commented: “Pantoland at The Palladium was originally created for the 2020 season and was sadly cut short due to the tiering system which meant we only played 6 performances to a reduced capacity of just 1000 people per performance. However, the reaction to the show was unlike anything any of us had seen before so the thought of bringing it back as an even bigger and better Christmas extravaganza was too good an idea to resist.”
Pantoland at the Palladium's creative team also includes costume design by Hugh Durrant, scenic design by Ian Westbrook, choreography by Karen Bruce, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Gareth Owen.
Performances of Pantoland at the Palladium will be at the London Palladium from December 4th - January 9th 2022.
