Producers have announced that the popular West End musical Dear Evan Hansen is to close in London later this year. The production will stage its final performance at the Noel Coward Theatre on October 22nd. Tickets to the London production of Dear Evan Hansen are on sale now.
During a successful run in the West End, the London production of Dear Evan Hansen has won three Olivier Awards, including 'Best New Musical', and 'Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical' for Sam Tutty.
The current cast of Dear Evan Hansen includes Tutty in the role of Evan Hansen. He is joined by Rupert Young as Larry Murphy, Lucy Anderson as Zoe Murphy, Rebecca McKinnis as Heidi Hansen, Jack Loxton as Jared Kleinman, Doug Colling as Connor Murphy, Iona Fraser as Alana Beck, Marcus Harman, and Lauren Ward as Cynthia Murphy. The remainder of the cast is made up of Mitchell Zhangazha, Tricia Adele-Turner, Mark Peachey, Ellis Kirk, Haydn Cox, Kristen Gaetz, Hannah Lindsey, Samantha Mbolekwa, Hannah Qureshi, and James Winter.
The plot of Dear Evan Hansen follows awkward teenager Evan Hansen, who suddenly finds himself amongst the "in-crowd" at his high school and features a book by Steven Levenson, along with a musical score by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek. The production is directed by Michael Greif with costume design by Emily Rebholz, choreography by Danny Mefford, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, scenic design by David Korins, and lighting design by Japhy Weideman.
Performances of Dear Evan Hansen will continue at the Noël Coward Theatre until October 22nd 2022.
