Life in the 'Kit Kat Club' is beautiful! Even more so now that it has been announced that the London production of Cabaret has extended its booking period at the Kit Kat Club, with tickets now available up until November 19th.
Joining the cast of Cabaret next month will be Richard Katz who takes over the role of Herr Schultz from Elliot Levey from June 27th. Levey departs the production star alongside David Tennant in the forthcoming play 'Good' at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
Amy Lennox and Fra Fee will continue in Cabaret as Sally Bowles and the Emcee until October 1st.
The rest of the cast features Anna-Jane Casey as Fraulein Kost, Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider, Omar Baroud as Cliff Bradshaw, and Stewart Clarke as Ernst Ludwig. The remainder of cast is completed by Sophie Maria Wojna, Sally Frith, Adam Taylor, Josh Andrews, Christopher Tendai, Daniel Perry, Gabriela Benedetti, Ela Lisondra, Matthew Gent, Emma Louise Jones, Theo Maddix, Chris O’Mara, Emily Benjamin, Andre Refig, Bethany Terry, and Lillie-Pearl Wildman.
Making up the Cabaret prologue company is Sally Swanson, Rachel Benson, Carys McQueen, Celine Fortenbacher, Andrew Linnie, Laura Braid, Reuben Greeph, Asmara Cammock, Julian Capolei, Samantha Ho, Hicaro Nicolai, and Kate Robson-Stuart.
The plot of Cabaret is set in Weimar Germany, and follows the blossoming relationship between American writer Cliff Bradshaw and Kit Kat Club singer Sally Bowles. The atmospheric musical features a number of hit songs by Frank Ebb and John Kander including "Don't Tell Mama", and "Maybe This Time". Cabaret has so far won seven Olivier Awards, including 'Best Direction' and 'Best Musical Revival'.
The creative team behind Cabaret includes direction by Rebecca Frecknall, sound design by Nick Lidster, choreography by Julia Cheng, scenic and costume design is by Tom Scutt, and lighting design by Isabella Byrd.
