Something A Bit DifferentAhead of its forthcoming Christmas season at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London from December 8th - January 22nd. 2022 the full cast for the musical Bring It On has now been announced.
Leading the Bring It On company is Amber Davies who takes the role of Campbell, following her successful West End debut playing 'Judy' in the musical 9 to 5 at the Savoy Theatre. The star of Rip It Up and four-time Olympic medalist Louis Smith will take on the part of Cameron.
Vanessa Fisher is to play the part of Danielle, with Georgia Bradshaw as Nautica, Alicia Belgarde as Eva, Marvyn Charles as Twig, Chloe Pool as Skylar, Biancha Szynal as Kylar, Chelsea Hall as Bridget, Connor Carson as Randall, and Samuel Wilson-Freeman as Steve. The part of La Cienega is to be played by Jal Joshua, who previously starred in an Asian tour of Cats and has competed in the Australian versions of both 'Australia’s Got Talent' and 'X Factor'.
The full cast is completed by Sergi Ibanez, Paris Green, Jordan Isaac, Zinzile Tshuma, Gareth Moran, Bethany Kate, Ayden Morgan, and Kenedy Small with one more cast member still to be announced.
Taking its inspiration from the 2000 cheerleading movie of the same name, Bring It On follows Campbell, a high school cheerleading captain who moves schools and ends up competing with her rivals by forming a brand new squad to make it to the very top of the pyramid using nothing but sheer determination.
The musical was written by Jeff Whitty, with music by Tom Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda who is best known for 'Hamilton'. Guy Unsworth will direct the show, with scenic design by Libby Watson, choreography by Fabian Aloise, lighting design by Matt Daw, costume design by Susan Kulkarni, and sound design by Ross Portway.
Performances of Bring It On will begin at Queen Elizabeth Hall from December 8th.
