The Shaftesbury Theatre is to host the return to the West End of Be More Chill this summer as the musical will play for a 10-week run with performances beginning on 30th June and running through to 5th September.
Be More Chill had just begun a much anticipated run at The Other Palace, when the Covid-19 pandemic forced the production to close. The original cast reprises their roles for the production with the ensemble including, Miracle Chance, Stewart Clarke, Scott Folan, Blake Patrick Anderson, James Hameed, Eloise Davies, Christopher Fry, Eve Norris, Gabriel Hinchliffe, Renée Lam, Miles Paloma, and Millie O’Connell
The show follows a high school misfit who discovers that the secret to being "cool" is swallowing 'Sqip', a supercomputer that will help him learn how to fit in.
With music and lyrics by Joe Iconis, and a book by Joe Tracz, Be More Chill received huge critical acclaim for the original cast recording which led to much-acclaimed both off-Broadway and Broadway runs, for which Joe Iconis received a Tony Award nomination.
Much of the Broadway creative team are retained for the London production, including choreographer Chase Brock, set designer Beowulf Boritt, and director Stephen Brackett.
