Following its much-acclaimed summer run at the Barbican, Anything Goes is set to return to London in 2022 following a UK tour which will begin in April 2022, and finish at the Barbican with performances scheduled from July 15th - September 3rd.
The producer Sir Howard Panter said of the show: “We are delighted to be back with the glorious Anything Goes musical at the Barbican next summer! The plot of Anything Goes follows a group of passengers as they sail to London on board the S.S. American. During the journey, some of the travellers have their identities mistaken, find love, and generally get up to plenty of mischief. The incredible musical score for Anything Goes features classic songs by Cole Porter including “You’re The Top,” “Friendship,” and “I Get A Kick Out of You.”
Full casting for the 2022 tour of Anything Goes is yet to be announced. The 2021 cast starred Sutton Foster who made her West End debut in the role of Reno Sweeney, alongside Robert Lindsay who played Moonface Martin. Felicity Kendal starred in the role of Evangeline Harcourt in the show with Gary Wilmot as Elisha Whitney, Carly Mercedes Dyer as Erma, Samuel Edwards in the role of Billy Crocker, Nicole-Lily Baisden as Hope Harcourt, and Haydn Oakley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh.
Direction and choreography for Anything Goes are from Kathleen Marshall, with scenic design by Derek McLane, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, costume design by Jon Morrell, and sound design by Jonathan Deans.
Performances of Anything Goes will resume at the Barbican from July 15th - September 3rd.
