Arabian Nights Tickets London

Join us on September 12th 2018 in the atmospheric setting of historic Hoxton Hall as it is transformed into an opulent Arabian palace to tell one of the greatest stories ever told as we follow the exploits of Sinbad and Ali Baba in a fantastic new production of the classic tale of Arabian Nights!

Dunzayad, the servant girl is due to marry the all powerful King Shahryar. This isn’t exactly a unique experience for the King however as he marries a different new girl every night, and every single morning after, he has them killed!

Dunzayad's sister Sharazad can’t just stand aside and watch as her sister steps up to take her vows though, so in the face of danger she defiantly sacrifices herself in place of her beloved sibling. As the feast draws to a close and with the end in sight, Sharazad begins to tell fantastical stories. And with every tale she tells, she lengthens the fine thread of their lives a little further, and slowly but surely begins to melt the stoney heart of her new husband.

Packed to the brim with puppetry, music, and dance, the world premiere of Arabian Nights is a new play by Nessah Muthy and based on the extensive library of texts, 'One Thousand and One Nights', celebrating both the cultural and artistic history of the ancient Middle East.

Fusing together tales from ancient Jewish, Arabic, Indian, Greek, Persian and Turkish cultures alongside a wide range of puppeteering and musical disciplines, this incredible new production stretches the borders and genres in an amazing night of storytelling that weaves a glorious tapestry from the past all the way into the future.
