John Malkovich returns to the stage after 33 years to star in Bitter Wheat at the Garrick Theatre.  A play about a depraved Hollywood mogul both written and directed by David Mamet.

The whole of Hollywood is a hell hole.

Just about everything in Hollywood is up for sale except the awards, and they are for rent.

Barney Fein, is nothing but a bloated monster – a studio head, just like his predecessor, he is a minotaur, who for years has devoured the young prey he has lured by deceit into his cave.  That was of course before his epic fall from absolute power to eternal shame!

Bitter Wheat completely rips the pashmina off the festering open wound which is show business, leaving us as better human beings, and better placed to confront the horror of life once again.
