As part of the 2019 season at the Royal Opera House, Faust will showcase at the venue for a limited season from April 11th - May 6th.
The aged philosopher Faust is disillusioned with life and so calls upon Satan to assist. Méphistophélès, the devil appears and goes onto strike a bargain with the philosopher: for the price of his eternal soul, he will grant him youth and the love of the beautiful Marguerite. Once the accord is struck Méphistophélès arranges so that Marguerite completely loses interest in her current suitor Siébel and falls in love with Faust.
After initially seeming to love Marguerite, Faust soon abandons her, so when her brother Valentin returns from the war he is furious to find his sister pregnant and alone. Can Faust repent his actions and can their souls possibly be saved?
